What made the experience of listening to A Wish Made of Glass the most enjoyable? If you could rename A Wish Made of Glass, what would you call it? Her voice brought out the child likeness of the characters and emotion and the wonder of the text. The Narrators voice fitted well with the whimsical tone of the story and she read it clearly and carefully. What about Keely Beresford’s performance did you like? She grows and changes so much in a few short pages, and yet she always herself. Isidore is an interesting character, her emotions are so wild, and vivid, and deep. I also enjoyed the sister bits in the story too. Emotion is beautifully expressed, and there is a lot of it in the book, I felt deeply along with the characters. There is not a dull page in it, though the pace is not fast, it is very engaging. This story is magical, without there being any real "magic" as such, in it. This is also an allegory, a beautiful one. Fey folk dance, wishes are made, hearts are walked upon, broken, and made new. VERY loosely based around the story of Cinderella. It is not overly long but it is powerful and this story is such a beautifully written, descriptive fairy tale. Yes, it is a story that you can listen to again and again. Would you listen to A Wish Made of Glass again? Why?
